The Mobile App Development Path teaches you to build beautiful, performant mobile applications for both iOS and Android using React Native and Expo. In 14 weeks, you’ll go from your first “Hello World” on a phone screen to publishing polished apps to the App Store and Google Play.

What You’ll Build

• Fitness Tracker App — A health and activity tracker with step counting, workout logging, progress charts, and local data persistence
• Food Delivery App — A restaurant browsing and ordering app with geolocation, real-time order tracking, push notifications, and payment integration
• Social Photo App — An Instagram-style app with camera integration, filters, image upload, feed algorithms, stories, and direct messaging
• Productivity Suite — A note-taking and task management app with offline sync, biometric authentication, widgets, and cloud backup

Curriculum Overview — 28 Modules

Mobile Foundations (Weeks 1–3): React Native architecture and bridge concepts, Expo managed workflow, core components (View, Text, ScrollView, FlatList), styling with StyleSheet and responsive layouts, navigation patterns (stack, tab, drawer) with React Navigation

UI/UX Mastery (Weeks 4–6): Mobile design principles and platform conventions, animations with Reanimated and Gesture Handler, custom component libraries, theming and dark mode support, accessibility on mobile (VoiceOver, TalkBack)

Device Integration (Weeks 7–9): Camera, photo library, and media handling, geolocation and maps, push notifications (local and remote), biometric authentication (Face ID, fingerprint), sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope), offline storage with AsyncStorage and SQLite

Backend Integration (Weeks 10–12): REST and GraphQL API consumption, real-time data with WebSockets, state management (Zustand, React Query), authentication flows (OAuth, magic links, biometric), file uploads and cloud storage, error tracking and crash reporting

Publishing (Weeks 13–14): App Store and Google Play submission process, app signing and certificates, over-the-air updates with EAS Update, performance profiling and optimization, analytics integration, monetization strategies
